We really need drivers to help take members to the club, especially if you have your own car, as the club cannot afford to hire UWE vehicles throughout the year. If you are able to offer transport (either with your own car or a UWE vehicle), please keep reading and get in touch with the committee.

Taking club members in your own car

If you have a car and are happy to take people to the club, please make sure you register with the Students' Union.

You will need to complete the Own Vehicle Registration form and provide UWESU with photocopies of the following: tax disc, MOT certificate, insurance certificate and both parts of your driving license.

It is completely free to register you car, and doing this will allow you to charge each passenger you take £5 and ensures that you and your passengers are fully insured under UWESU's trip insurance. Please talk to the committee or the Sports and Activities Centre if you have any questions about registering your car.

Once you've registered your vehicle, please tell the committee so we can add you to our list of drivers.

Driving UWE vehicles (hire car / minibus)

You will need to register as a driver with the Students' Union, and take any courses as requested by UWESU.

To do this you will need to complete the Driver Registration form and provide UWESU photocopies of both parts of your driving license. Please talk to the committee or the Sports and Activities Centre if you have any questions about this.

Once you're registered and have permission to drive UWE vehicles, please let the committee know.
